The Old Mill

Extensive restoration and enlargement of a substantial listed property, combining the conservation of the historic building with a major new limestone extension designed to blend seamlessly with the original masonry.

JB Restorations spent two years working on The Old Mill, with a team of 12 skilled stonemasons carrying out extensive restoration and new-build stonework.

The project involved conserving the original listed building and constructing a substantial new extension. Natural limestone was carefully selected and worked to complement the historic masonry, creating a seamless transition between the old and new parts of the property.

We worked alongside Webb Yates and principal contractor Lynx Construction, liaising closely with the conservation officers throughout the project. This ensured that all work met the required conservation standards and remained sympathetic to the character and heritage of the building.
