Wisbech St Mary

JB Restorations has been working on this Grade II* listed property in Wisbech St Mary for approximately one year.

The project began with lime-mortar repointing to the rear of the property. Following the results of this initial work, the client asked us to continue around the entire building.

Our approach has been to preserve the property’s natural age and character rather than unnecessarily replacing every weathered or slightly damaged brick. The existing masonry has been carefully repointed using a traditional lime mortar, with localised repairs undertaken only where required.

The new pointing and repaired areas have been blended sensitively with the original brickwork, creating a seamless and well-cared-for finish without making the historic building appear overly restored.
